It is said that shipping for this unique product would start in March this year, and is expected a price revolution in the market. Apple chief executive Steve Jobs announced the launch of Apple iPad at an event in San Francisco and believed that the iPad will be Apple’s most advanced technology, “in a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price”.
This project was kept under the wraps for a long time and the analysts were speculating on their imaginations about it but were totally taken up by surprise when they saw the original creation.
This new unusual device is much on the pattern of its company’s know product iphone in terms of its activity and applications, it is 0.5 inches in thickness and weighs 1.5 pounds, making it more compact, lighter cheaper and handier than most laptop or notebook computers.
Jobs said the iPad was a new kind of device and that it represented a new category in the market, creating a space between a smartphone or a laptop computer.
“iPad creates and defines an entirely new category of devices that will connect users with their apps and content in a much more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before,” Jobs said.
The iPad features a 9.7-inch screen and is designed in a way to work with its multi-touch technology in portrait and landscape styles. The iPad also has an access to the iTunes Store and the company claims a battery life of 10 hours per full recharge.
